Zoetry’s newest resort opened in Curacao in November of 2021 and I had the pleasure of staying there on a recent visit to the island.
From the moment of my arrival I was completely taken by the zen ambiance of this all-inclusive boutique resort. After a long day of travel, Zoetry’s expansive lobby of natural, organic textures and greenery immediately put me at ease. The intoxicating scent of bamboo filled the air as a lovely concierge greeted me with ”Welcome Home!” She offered me a warm hand towel and a glass of white wine. I was ready to relax…
Zoetry Curacao is a 72-suite haven of serenity, a tropical paradise of lush foliage surrounding a group of unobtrusive, low-rise structures that seamlessly blend together. The property is a quiet, intimate hideaway that feels exclusive, yet relaxed. Decorated in earth-tones and florals with natural wood accents and unique lighting, Zoetry Curacao is designed for decompressing.
As lovely as the resort is, what really elevates the experience at Zoetry Curacao is the staff. They are gracious, warm, and go above and beyond to make sure the guests are taken care of.
A welcome bottle of sparkling wine and fresh fruit was waiting for me as I entered my suite at Zoetry Curacao. The suite was spacious with a large furnished balcony, an extremely comfortable king-sized bed, a gigantic shower with a rainfall shower head, and a separate water closet. Other suites had an outdoor soaking tub. Other amenities included Bvlgari bath products, a fully stocked mini-bar, and a mini Nespresso machine with an assortment of coffee pods.
While the art of doing nothing is very prevalent at Zoetry Curacao, in my 2 days there I took a Zumba class in the pool, got a heavenly facial/foot massage at the spa, and enjoyed the beautiful beach across the street via private golf cart.
I highly recommend taking a tour of Willemstad or renting a car to explore while you are on Curacao. Not to be missed are the Pietermaii district with its colorful street art, the famous floating bridge, the north shore beaches, and a boat trip to stunning Klein Curacao.
There are two restaurants and 3 bars at Zoetry Curacao. Bloom is the property’s main restaurant , featuring international cuisine with a Curacao twist and an open kitchen. The food here was fresh, innovative, and absolutely delicious. Botanica, the poolside grill, was perfect for dining al fresco. There are 2 bars in the lobby, including the Cork & Cordials wine bar which has frequent wine-tastings. The Palms bar by the pool made excellent craft cocktails. Zoetry Curacao also has a beautiful, intimate wine cellar for a private dining experience.
Zoetry Curacao Resort is a natural fit for couples, families, or singles who want to do nothing more than relax at the resort and completely unplug in a tranquil island setting. It is also a great location for travelers seeking a quiet retreat after busy days spent sightseeing and touring the island. Finally, Zoetry Curacao is ideal as a split-stay resort to unwind for a few days either before or after heading to a livelier hotel.
